Mazhavil Manorama has become the first television channel in Kerala to transmit its programmes completely in HD. The entertainment channel has been shooting in HD from the beginning.
HD transmission is six times clearer than the previous analogue technology. It also ensures high-quality sound that suits home theatres and high-end systems.
HD transmission makes visuals available in a ratio of 16:9, in accordance with international
standards. The digital revolution that started in the West in the last years of the previous century
has caught up in India, where many national channels have turned HD.
Mazhavil Manorama HD will be the fourth channel from MMTV after Manorama News, Mazhavil Manorama and Mazhavil Manorama International. MMTV introduced a different media culture in presentation when it launched Manorama News on August 17, 2006.
Manorama News quickly grew into the most popular television news channel in Malayalam by introducing mpeg-4 technology in shooting and transmission and tapeless cameras for the first time in the country. It excels in news presentation and live transmission by using cutting-edge technology.
